Ron Holbert, senior vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer for First County Bank, was selected as a 2017 CFO of the Year honoree by the Fairfield County Business Journal and RSM US LLP awards celebration for CFOs and financial leaders held on Oct. 17 at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich.

Financial leaders in Fairfield County are selected for the award for their accomplishments and excellence in financial management by their peers. Holbert, a Stamford resident, is one of nine honorees chosen for the sixth annual ceremony.

“Being an honoree and recognized by peers for my financial leadership is humbling and is truly an honor I will always remember,” he said. “First County Bank has been my home since I started working there in college, and this award is a capstone to my career.”

“Ron is a valued member of our senior management and financial team. He has served the bank his entire career, since starting as a summer teller in 1975 then rising through our ranks to senior vice president, treasurer and CFO,” said Reyno A. Giallongo, Jr., chairman and CEO of First County Bank, which is headquartered in Stamford and has branches in Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan.
