Get to know Mohammed, Teller and Digital Ambassador at our Darien Branch.
Tell us a little about yourself!
I was born in Bangladesh and grew up in Saudi Arabia where I spent most of my life. I came to the United States at the end of 2020 when the world was still struggling with the pandemic, during which time my family was blessed with a baby girl! Many may not know this, but our hometown of Stamford has a big Muslim community where we share our cultures and can practice our religion.
Do you have a secret talent, favorite hobby, or pastime?
One secret talent I have is making customized picture frames with wood and glass. I learned these crafts from my father while working at his shop in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Also, I like to go fishing in the summertime and enjoy playing my two favorite sports – soccer and cricket. I love to travel and enjoy discovering different cultures and their traditions. Recently, I have visited a few Caribbean countries, including The Bahamas and Puerto Rico.
What is your favorite part of your role with First County Bank?
My favorite part of being a teller is how fascinating it is to use technologies in modern banking systems. I try to use online banking daily and as an in-branch Digital Ambassador I encourage and educate First County Bank’s valued customers to use it as well. Many of our customers have been with us for years, and I love the personal connection we share, knowing them by name, learning about their families, and being part of exciting moments in their lives. It’s truly rewarding to create that sense of community with my customers.
Do you have a favorite First County Bank moment? This can be any moment at the Bank that has made an impact on your life.
My favorite moment at First County Bank was participating in the Corporate Fun Run at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport. It was special because I had the opportunity to participate in this employee engagement event while also sharing the experience with my family by bringing them along. It was a memorable and meaningful day spent together. I also got the opportunity to network with employees from different companies, developing professional relationships with them.

Customers turn to me for a variety of services, whether they are opening an account, setting up online banking, processing a wire transfer, or handling simple transactions, they know with confidence that I will provide efficient and effective assistance every time.
