First County Bank Selects Filling in the Blanks as Donation Recipient of Elan’s Charitable Giving Campaign

STAMFORD, CT, January 29, 2026 First County Bank’s credit card provider Elan, announced the expansion of its charitable giving program, delivering $250,000 in donations to 25 nonprofit organizations nationwide. Each $10,000 contribution was made on behalf of an existing credit union or community bank partner, reinforcing their commitment to supporting the communities their credit card partners serve.

The Elan Charitable Giving program reflects Elan’s commitment to purpose-driven partnerships that extend beyond business. Continuing the program ensures that our collective impact grows, strengthening local relationships and reinforcing the values that drive long-term success.

“Our credit card partners are deeply connected to their communities,” said Peter Klukken, SVP, Head of Elan Financial Services, “By aligning our charitable investments with their local priorities — we’re helping extend their reach and deepen relationships with the cardmembers we both serve.”

First County Bank was one of the five community banks chosen to participate in Elan’s Charitable Giving program, selecting Filling in the Blanks to receive the $10,000 donation. The Norwalk-based nonprofit helps fight childhood hunger by providing children who are experiencing food insecurity with weekend meals.

“First County Bank is proud to partner with Elan to award $10,000 to Filling in the Blanks. Fighting childhood hunger matters deeply to us, and supporting the vital work they do helps children across our communities concentrate on their education rather than their next meal,” said Willard Miley, President and COO of First County Bank.

“We are honored to be selected by First County Bank as the recipient of this year’s Elan’s Charitable Giving donation. This $10,000 donation will directly help us continue providing nutritious weekend meals to children facing food insecurity, ensuring they have the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive.  We are deeply grateful to First County Bank for selecting Filling in the Blanks and for their commitment to strengthening our local community,” said Shawnee Knight and Tina Kramer, Co-Founders of Filling in the Blanks.
