First County Bank Spotlight – Gerard Fleurizad

Meet Gerard “Edens” Fleurizad, Branch Manager of our 117 Prospect Street, Stamford location.

Tell us a little about yourself.
I started my career with First County Bank back in November of 1994 as a teller, and here I am almost 25 years later working as a Branch Manager, Assistant Vice President.

I am a proud father of three very smart and driven children. My oldest is working on his PhD in Psychology at Boston College, my younger son is graduating from Hobart and William Smith College in 2020 (majoring in Philosophy), and my youngest, my lovely daughter (who is 17 now)  will be graduating from J. W. Wright Technical High School, and is planning to attend the University of Connecticut focusing on becoming a Pediatrician.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my children, going on long-distance bike rides, and fulfilling my duties as a member of Stamford Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus.

Do you have a secret talent?
I love music, it’s a passion of mine. Listening to music always boosts my mood, even on those rare unpleasant days.

What is your favorite part of your role with First County Bank?
My favorite part of my role as Branch Manager, is being able to coach and motivate my staff, so they can become successful and grow their careers.

Do you have a favorite First County Bank moment?
In 2014 I received the first-ever First County Bank Trusted Advisor Award, for delivering exceptional customer service.

Is there anything else you’d like to say about you or your experience at the Bank?
What can I say, I literally grew up with First County Bank, and am still continuing to grow here. I’ve learned everything I know by using all the tools, training, and support that First County Bank provided to me.
