Get to know Iliana, AVP and Branch Manager of our Stamford – Springdale location.
Tell us a little about yourself!
I was born and raised in Bulgaria. I came to the United States with my family 23 years ago, and since then I have embraced every challenge as an opportunity to learn, adapt, and grow into the person I am today. I am positive, outgoing, and enjoy bringing humor and energy into both my personal and professional life.
Outside of work, I enjoy taking road trips and traveling with my family. We love exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and trying traditional foods. My husband and I are huge tennis fans and attend the U.S. Open whenever possible.
My journey with First County Bank started 12 years ago as a part-time employee. Through hard work, consistency, and a strong commitment to growth, I advanced within the company and am now proud to be a Branch Manager.
Do you have a secret talent, favorite hobby, or pastime?
As a proud Bulgarian living in America, I love keeping our culture and traditions alive within my family, especially when it comes to food. From making traditional Bulgarian yogurt to preparing homemade pickles and dry salami, it’s a true passion that I take a lot of pride in. I also love gardening! I grow fresh tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers right in my backyard. It’s more than just cooking, it’s a way to stay connected to my roots and pass those traditions on to the next generation. A little taste of Bulgaria, right at home.
What is your favorite part of your role with First County Bank?
My favorite part of my role at First County Bank is building strong relationships with customers, supporting my team, and being actively involved in the community. I enjoy helping customers find the right financial solutions while also coaching and supporting my team to grow and succeed. Making a positive impact on our customers, the community, and within the branch is what I find most rewarding.
Do you have a favorite First County Bank moment? This can be any moment at the Bank that has made an impact on your life.
My Favorite First County Bank moments are the daily interactions with our customers – being able to help them, find solutions, and see them leave the branch with a smile. It’s especially rewarding when customers express their appreciation and trust in us.
I’m also grateful to be part of the First County Bank team. The support, collaboration, and relationships I’ve built along the way have played a big role in my growth and success and make my journey here truly meaningful.
