First County Bank Spotlight – Justyna Nurczyk

Meet Justyna, Mortgage Loan Originator in our Residential Lending Division.

Tell us a little about yourself!

I am originally from Kadzidlo a small town in Poland and immigrated to the U.S. in 2000. I was a resident of Stamford for almost 20 years, before making the move to Wilton with my husband, our 3 children and the family dog – Sadie.

I am actively involved in community organizations like the Polish Saturday School of Stamford, where I serve as Treasurer.  I also like to volunteer with the Wilton Children’s Theater where my kids participate in their productions – I guess you can call me stage mom.  When I am not at work, volunteering, or spending time with my family you can find me outside, either in my garden, on my bike or taking a nature stroll with my dog.

Do you have a secret talent, favorite hobby, or pastime?

One of my favorite things to do is gardening. I have a vegetable garden full of tomatoes, cucumbers, beets, and different types of fresh herbs, and a beautiful flower garden that is in full bloom with lavender and hydrangeas. Being out in my garden makes me feel relaxed and fulfilled, seeing my crops thrive.

What is your favorite part of your role with First County Bank?

My favorite part of the many roles I have had being with the bank for almost 20 years has always been my ability to help my customers reach their financial goals.  Especially as a Mortgage Loan Originator, I take pride in turning a dream of homeownership into a reality for many of my customers who thought owning a home would always be out of reach.  With me by their side, I guide them through the entire process, share valuable programs and incentives they may be eligible for as a first-time homeowner, and love calling to say, “your loan has been approved”.

Do you have a favorite First County Bank moment? This can be any moment at the Bank that has made an impact on your life.

The most impactful moment of my First County Bank career was when I became Branch Manager of our former Glenbrook location. Coming from Poland, where English became my second language, I never thought this career path would be possible for me. However, I worked hard and I had great managers and mentors who supported me, recognized my work, and most importantly always helped me strive for more.

What can your clients come to you for?

If my customers have any questions about purchasing a home, refinancing, our latest mortgage rates, or what programs they might qualify for as a first-time homebuyer, they’ll know I’ll have the answers!
