First County Bank Spotlight – Lynn Perez
Meet Lynn Perez, Darien Assistant Branch Manager and Digital Ambassador.
Tell us a little about yourself!
I am a true Jersey Girl, born and raised. Although I have lived in Connecticut since 2014, I also spent time in South Carolina for a few years while attending Midlands Technical College. I am the oldest and have one brother who lives in Colorado, where he retired after being in the Army. Our bond is like no other as we both love to collect sneakers. I am super close to my mom, who is more like my sister to me, and we speak on the phone daily. If you couldn’t tell, family is everything to me. I am always the one who gathers everyone at the house with my home cooking.
Do you have a favorite hobby, or pastime?
During my downtime, my hobbies include arts and crafts, interior decorating, bargain shopping (it’s hard to turn down a good deal), cooking and baking. I also consider myself to be a “sneakerhead”, as I own a total of 378 pairs of sneakers and counting. Yes, you read that correctly – I have almost 400 pairs of sneakers!
What is your favorite part of your role with First County Bank?
My favorite part of my role as an Assistant Branch Manager and digital ambassador is making my customers happy. I enjoy seeing the excitement in my customers’ faces when I educate them on how to use the mobile banking app on their cell phones. Helping my customers feel confident adjusting to a new digital banking tool is a highlight of my job as an in-branch digital ambassador.
Do you have a favorite First County Bank moment? This can be any moment at the Bank that has made an impact on your life.
I have been in banking for over 11 years and have been with First County Bank since August of 2024. I know during my tenure here I will have many favorite moments to speak of, but one that occurred recently was when I prevented one of our customers from becoming a victim of a scam attempt. As I was just doing my job, the customer was very grateful and every time he comes into the branch, he still thanks me, and states how amazed he is that I protected him.
What can Customers come to you for?
My customers can come to me for advice and guidance that supports their financial goals. As a digital ambassador, I provide insight into our digital banking products and services. I feel great when I can help my not-so-mobile-savvy customers navigate our mobile app with ease on their phones.
Anything else you’d like to say about you or your experience at the Bank?
I am very family-oriented and treat my customers as if they are members of my family, making them feel that they are “where they belong”. I take pride in making sure my customers have the right products that are beneficial to them and their specific banking needs.
