As more of us hit the road, enjoying the freedom and adventure of summer travel, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is encouraging drivers to be on the lookout for card skimming scams at the gas pump.
Card skimmers are devices, illegally attached to payment terminals, which steal information off a credit or debit card’s magnetic strip. This data can either be sold or used, to purchase items online without your knowledge (at least until you receive your statement).
